成長經曆
1987年4月，羅茜出生在英國德文郡普利茅斯，父親查爾斯是一名特許檢驗員，母親菲奧娜是一位健身教練，她是家裡最大的孩子。羅茜擁有英國貴族血統，曾祖父赫伯特·漢丁頓·惠特利曾被英國女王封為男爵。
在農場長大的羅茜從小和雞、鴨、羊、豬、馬生活在一起。小時候，她并不自信，以為自己是一隻醜小鴨。但很快醜小鴨顯出了白天鵝的模樣。在學校裡，她漸漸成了男生的調情對象。因為愛說話，她被評為"大嘴巴小姐"。13歲那年，又被評為"最有可能成為超級模特的女孩"。羅茜的教練媽媽常穿着好看的衣服，和她坐在一起讀時尚或女性雜志。關于模特的想象，大概就是在這時候印進了羅茜心裡。

北京時間6月3日消息，據國外媒體報道，導演邁克爾-貝(Michael Bay)近日發布官方消息，歡迎維多利亞的秘密名模羅西-漢丁頓-惠特莉(Rosie Huntington-Whiteley)加入《變形金剛3》(Transformers 3)劇組。現年45歲的邁克爾-貝在個人主頁寫到:"我希望你們所有人歡迎23歲的英國模特羅西-漢丁頓-惠特莉加入《變形金剛》世界。你們可能已經知道，她将成為《變形金剛3》的新任女主角。在邁克爾執導的《維多利亞的秘密:一件禮物，一千個幻想》(Victoria's Secret "A Thousand Fantasies)的廣告中，她曾與導演有過合作。"

根據《每日鏡報》在調查中發現，前來觀看《變3》的觀衆多是沖着變形金剛真槍實彈的大戰情節來的，對其中的真人戲部分則相對不感冒。有26.7%的觀衆把最不滿意《變3》的一點投給了"真人戲相對太多，無形中擠占了變形金剛的戲份";也有同樣多數的觀衆把這一票投給了"變形金剛的大戰太過混亂，沒有預想的精彩。"有超過一半的觀衆則對片中新晉女主角惠特莉相當不滿，認為其"不如梅根·福克斯靓，很失望"。
