1996年獲四川大學基礎數學理學博士學位（導師李安民教授）。
1998年浙江大學博士後出站。現任職教授、博士生導師、數學系副主任。
主要成就科研成就
先後主持河南省自然科學基金、教育部留學回國人員科研啟動基金、河南省傑出青年科學基金、國家自然科學基金面上項目4項（項目編号分别為10671181、11071225、11371330、11771404）和國際（地區）合作與交流項目1項（項目編号10810301079）。研究領域涉及子流形的幾何與拓撲、共形微分幾何、仿射微分幾何、黎曼流形的曲率與拓撲、流形上的微分方程，特别在等仿射超曲面和中心仿射超曲面研究中取得了系統性的重要成果。

榮獲河南省優秀中青年骨幹教師、河南省跨世紀學術與技術帶頭人培養對象、河南省優秀教師、鄭州大學三育人先進個人和師德标兵、河南省優秀碩士學位論文指導教師（兩次）等榮譽稱号。研究成果先後獲河南省教育廳優秀論文一等獎4項、二等獎1項，河南省優秀科研論文獎一等獎5項、二等獎4次。
社會任職
現任中國數學會理事。美國數學會會員、美國《數學評論》評論員、國際數學期刊《Journal of Geometry》和《JP Journal of Geometry and Topology》編委。
