科研成就
1. 互聯網測量和數據分析。随着互聯網的規模和複雜性的快速發展，人類理解互聯網的結構、動态變化和脆弱性等特征的難度也越來越大。我們有必要對互聯網進行系統的測量和數據分析，以加深人類對互聯網運行情況的理解，從而能夠優化互聯網的服務性能。該研究包含測量算法研究、測量基礎設施部署、測量數據采集和共享、測量數據分析以及基于測量結果的性能優化等多個角度。最近該方向的研究主要集中在互聯網路由的地理安全性分析，基于大規模主動測量，對互聯網路由的地理繞行、各個國家流量的路由依賴性進行分析，指出安全隐患和改進的可能方法。
2. 重疊網或廣域網資源調度和性能優化。近年來，各種建立在互聯網基礎上的單一機構大規模私有網絡陸續出現，如各種Overlay、多站點數據中心和CDN等網絡。這些網絡由單一機構運行，能夠在互聯網的基礎上，通過重疊網路由或中央控制的資源調度算法，對網絡的資源利用和服務性能進行優化。近年來的研究主要包括：1）數據中心内的多播和廣播路由優化。2）數據中心站點間（DC WAN）的網絡資源調度。3）P2P等應用層路由的流量建模分析。
3. 互聯網經濟分析。互聯網的發展是多利益相關方（ISP、ICP、終端用戶、政府等）的博弈結果，受到技術、經濟和政策等多種因素的影響。該研究基于博弈論，對利益相關方的各種行為進行建模，研究這些互聯網參與者的優化行為如何最終決定互聯網結構或路由等。最近的研究主要包括：1）應用層路由對域間互聯和路由決策的影響。對應用層路由進行流量建模，使用博弈論分析不同流量模式對互聯網結構的影響；2）互聯價值評估模型。針對運營商之間的互聯争議，綜合考慮運營商的性能、價格、内容、用戶、以及在互聯網拓撲中的位置，評估該運營商的互聯價值。
