2000年的“混合理論(Hybrid Theory)”開始，林肯公園(LinkinPark)以十年的時間，用無數的音樂獎項(世界音樂獎、葛萊美獎、告示牌音樂獎、MTV音樂大獎，滾石雜志年度風雲人物)，以及全球累積超越5千萬張的驚人銷售，證明他們絕對是本世紀以來最偉大的搖滾天團。這個由充滿嘶吼力道的Chester Bennington，與音樂鬼才Mike Shinoda這對雙主唱所領軍的六人樂團，用他們自己的音樂及影像，不斷地藉由創作來傳達自我信念，以及對這世界的無盡關懷，讓林肯公園這個符号所代表的意涵，早已超越搖滾樂的範疇，它所代表的是一種鼓舞世人超越冷漠的文化現象、一種同時交織著憤怒及憐憫的矛盾态度、更是一個面對各種複雜情緒來襲時的宣洩出口。
超級制作人和樂隊的成員Mike Shinoda再次聯手制作了樂團這次的新專輯《A Thousand Suns》，兩人上次聯手打造林肯公園的專輯是在2007年發行的《Minutes to Midnight》。而林肯公園也将在他們官方的Myspace首頁上舉辦一些活動來宣傳全新的專輯，其中就包括了征集粉絲用林肯公園的音樂錄制自己歌曲并且出現在新專輯中。
毀滅時刻的奇光異彩，猶如聖靈逞威，唯有烈日千陽始能與其争輝！延續上張專輯“末日警鐘：毀滅·新生(Minutes To Midnight)”的環保議題，睽違三年的全新作品“烈日千陽(A Thousand Suns)”的創作靈感來自被稱為美國“原子彈之父”的物理學家羅伯特·奧本海默(J. Robert Oppenheimer)，在史上第一顆原子彈試爆時想起了印度著名史詩，引用所說出的一段名句：「If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One」，由此，可以看出此樂團新作充滿反戰意識。而在專輯制作部分，繼上張專輯的愉快合作之後，樂團首腦Mike Shinoda及多座葛萊美獎加冕的搖滾宗師Rick Rubin(Red Hot Chili Peppers、U2)再度攜手操刀，以超現實主義的手法，完整地編織出這張前所未有的概念式驚奇大碟。專輯開場曲「The Requiem」在安魂曲的吟唱聲中開啟末世序曲，“原子彈之父”Robert Oppenheimer接續獻上警世宣言「The Radiance」；正當Chester Bennington還在「Burning In The Skies」的戰火燎原之中狂奔逃離之時，Mike Shinoda立即踩著貝斯線條及轟隆節拍，帶著「When They Come For Me」正面迎戰；忽然聽見心跳聲般的碎裂節拍，「Robot Boy」在規律的頻率之下，計算著自我結構裡所殘餘的人性，讓人格外心痛；在穿越「Jornada Del Muerto」的死亡之旅後，「Waiting For The End」讓現實與虛拟、真相與謊言，全都打破了界限、相互牽制；搖滾力道全速沖刺，「Blackout」與心魔不斷交戰，「Wretches And Kings」則是宛如打不倒的鬥者一樣，挑戰眼前的獨裁威權；在諾貝爾和平獎得主的馬丁·路德金充滿愛的「Wisdom, Justice, And Love」之後，中闆抒情搖滾「Iridescent」映射出虹彩滿天，被Bay選為《變形金剛3》的主題曲；「Fallout」讓原子塵埃漫天飛舞，「The Catalyst」走出迷霧，用信念再度打開生命的堅韌樣貌，這首空降美國告示牌搖滾榜冠軍曲，被知名電玩遊戲【榮譽勳章】選作主題曲，有意思的是，它同時也被ARC遊戲【機動戰士高達Extreme VS.】選為主題曲，單曲推出首周，立即創下超越1200萬次的傲人點播紀錄；專輯末曲「The Messenger」用空心吉他簡單點綴，讓歌曲中想傳遞的訊息成為主角，是林肯公園從未嘗試過的嶄新曲風。
成軍十年，林肯公園從來都不是一台公式化的流行歌曲複制機，他們一向忠於用創作旅程中的每個真實記憶，寫出他們的心底之音。也正因為如此，我們才會在他們的音樂世界裡，不斷地得到共鳴，找到歸屬。
